most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the UK. We offer the Cutera XEO Nd-YAG
wavelength for fast hair removal treatments. These treatments are perfect for any area of the body
and for all skin pigment types.
During treatment, the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The energy produced by the laser
is converted to heat, which damages the hair follicles. The hair follicle is what produces hair, and so
by damaging the hair follicle, there is a permanent decrease in hair growth. Only ‘active’ hair
follicles are affected by the treatment, and not all hair follicles are ‘active’ at the same time.
Therefore, multiple treatments are necessary. The average number of treatments is 6 to 8.
